Terms & Conditions

These are the terms that apply when you use the GoOuts app and services. Please read them carefully.

Last Updated: September 2026 · Version 3.2 · Registered in England & Wales

By registering for a GoOuts account and ticking the acceptance box, you are entering into a legally binding agreement with GoOuts Technologies Limited ("GoOuts", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms govern your use of the GoOuts mobile application, wallet, cashback services, escrow facility, and advance facility. If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not register or use our services.

Part 1: Definitions

In these Terms, the following expressions shall have the meanings set out below.

  • Account means your registered GoOuts user account.
  • Advance Facility means the facility by which GoOuts may, at its sole discretion, release up to twenty-five percent (25%) of your Escrow Cashback Balance to your Wallet before the Escrow Release Date.
  • Authorised Payment Method means the debit card, credit card, or linked bank account you register with GoOuts and which you authorise us to charge in accordance with Clauses 8 and 9.
  • Cashback means the monetary reward, expressed as a percentage of a qualifying transaction amount, credited to your Wallet or Escrow Cashback Balance upon a verified purchase at a participating GoOuts Partner.
  • Escrow Cashback Balance means Cashback earnings that are held by GoOuts in a suspended state pending expiry of the applicable Return Window, as described in Part 4 of these Terms.
  • Escrow Release Date means the date falling fourteen (14) calendar days after the date of the qualifying transaction, on which Escrow Cashback is automatically transferred to your Wallet, provided no Return has been made.
  • Partner means a business that has entered into a commercial agreement with GoOuts to offer Cashback rewards to GoOuts account holders.
  • Return means the cancellation, reversal, refund, or return of a qualifying purchase for which Cashback or an Advance was issued.
  • Return Window means the period of fourteen (14) calendar days following a qualifying purchase during which a Return may be made.
  • Wallet means the GoOuts digital wallet associated with your Account, used to store, spend, and receive funds and Cashback.

Part 2: Eligibility & Registration

2.1 You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age to register for a GoOuts account. Certain financial features may require you to be eighteen (18) or over, as stated within the app.

2.2 You must be a resident of the United Kingdom or such other jurisdiction as GoOuts may from time to time specify.

2.3 You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration. Providing false information constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account suspension, recovery of any Cashback paid, and referral to relevant authorities.

2.4 Each individual may hold only one GoOuts account. Creating duplicate accounts to gain additional Cashback is fraudulent and will result in permanent closure of all associated accounts.

2.5 GoOuts reserves the right to decline any registration application without giving reasons.

Part 3: The GoOuts Wallet

3.1 The GoOuts Wallet allows you to hold funds, receive Cashback, and make payments at participating Partners.

3.2 Your GoOuts Wallet is powered by Stripe. Funds you add are held in a Stripe account in your name. GoOuts does not hold your money. Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (FCA ref: 900461) is the authorised payment institution. Payment providers may be updated from time to time; any change will be notified to you in advance.

3.3 You are responsible for maintaining the security of your four-digit PIN and login credentials. GoOuts will never request your PIN via email, telephone, SMS, or any channel other than the app's secure payment confirmation screen.

3.4 Monthly spending limits apply based on your verification tier:

  • Tier 1 (Registered): £500 per month
  • Tier 2 (Bank Linked): £1,000 per month
  • Tier 3 (KYC Verified): £2,000 per month

3.5 GoOuts reserves the right to freeze your Wallet if we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity, pending investigation.

Part 4: Escrow Cashback Scheme

4.1 Escrow Cashback: General. Where a qualifying purchase is made at a GoOuts Partner whose goods or services are subject to a statutory or contractual return right (including, without limitation, retail goods, fashion, electronics, or any product or service with a minimum fourteen-day return window) ("Return-Window Transaction"), the Cashback earned on that transaction shall not be credited directly to your Wallet.

4.2 Escrow Holding Period. Cashback earned on a Return-Window Transaction shall be held in your Escrow Cashback Balance for a period of fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of the qualifying transaction ("Escrow Period"). During the Escrow Period, you may view your Escrow Cashback Balance within the GoOuts app, displayed separately from your available Wallet balance. Escrow Cashback does not accrue interest during the Escrow Period and confers no property right until it is released to your Wallet on the Escrow Release Date.

4.3 Automatic Release. On the Escrow Release Date (i.e., the fifteenth (15th) calendar day following the qualifying transaction), provided no Return has been notified to GoOuts in respect of that transaction, the Escrow Cashback shall be automatically transferred to your Wallet. Release processing may take up to two (2) business hours from midnight on the Escrow Release Date. GoOuts will send you an in-app notification upon successful release.

4.4 Escrow Cashback on Returns. If you make a Return of a Return-Window Transaction during the Escrow Period, the Escrow Cashback associated with that transaction is immediately cancelled and will not be released to your Wallet. If no Advance has been drawn against that Escrow Cashback, you owe nothing and the matter is closed; if an Advance has been drawn, Clause 5.4 (Advance Clawback on Return) applies. GoOuts may verify a Return by requesting confirmation from the relevant Partner, and you agree to cooperate with any reasonable verification request. Fraudulent Returns, including returns made for the purpose of retaining Cashback or an Advance, constitute fraud and may result in account closure, civil recovery proceedings, and reporting to law enforcement authorities.

Part 5: Cashback Advance Facility

5.1 Availability of Advance. Subject to Clause 5.1.2, you may request a Cashback Advance of up to twenty-five percent (25%) of your total Escrow Cashback Balance at any time during the Escrow Period. The Advance Facility is available at GoOuts' sole discretion and may be withdrawn, suspended, or limited at any time, including where you have a history of Returns, your account is under investigation, your Authorised Payment Method has failed or been removed, or GoOuts determines your usage pattern presents an elevated risk. The Advance Facility is not a regulated credit product. It is a conditional, interest-free early release of a portion of your anticipated Cashback reward. No credit check is conducted and no interest, fees, or charges apply to the Advance itself.

5.2 Interest-Free Advance. GoOuts will not charge interest on any Advance, and there are no arrangement, processing, or administrative fees. The Advance amount is deducted from your Escrow Cashback Balance upon the Escrow Release Date. Example: your Escrow Cashback Balance is £40.00, you request a 25% Advance of £10.00, and on the Escrow Release Date, £30.00 is credited to your Wallet.

5.3 Advance Payment Method. The Advance is credited directly to your GoOuts Wallet immediately upon approval. Acceptance of an Advance constitutes your agreement to the clawback provisions set out in Clause 5.4.

5.4 Advance Clawback on Return. By accepting these Terms and registering your Authorised Payment Method with GoOuts, you expressly and irrevocably authorise GoOuts to debit your Authorised Payment Method for the amount of any outstanding Advance in the circumstances described in this Clause. If you make a Return of a Return-Window Transaction in respect of which an Advance has been paid, the associated Escrow Cashback is cancelled and the Advance amount paid to you (or the outstanding part of it) becomes immediately due and repayable to GoOuts. GoOuts will first attempt to deduct the outstanding Advance from any available Wallet balance; if that balance is insufficient, GoOuts will charge the shortfall to your Authorised Payment Method within five (5) business days of the Return being confirmed. You will receive written notice (in-app and by registered email) no less than forty-eight (48) hours before any such charge, except where GoOuts reasonably suspects fraud. Where a Return causes the net position of your Escrow Cashback to fall below zero, the resulting negative amount is a debt owed by you to GoOuts, recoverable under this Clause. If your Authorised Payment Method fails or is declined, GoOuts may suspend your Wallet and Advance Facility pending repayment, offset the amount against future Cashback earnings, refer it to a debt collection agency, and/or pursue recovery through legal proceedings.

5.5 Disputes Regarding Advance Clawback. If you believe a clawback has been applied in error, notify GoOuts in writing at disputes@goouts.co.uk within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving the clawback notification. GoOuts will investigate and respond within ten (10) business days.

Part 6: Cashback & Rewards (General)

6.1 Cashback rates are set by individual Partners and are subject to change without notice. GoOuts will use reasonable endeavours to update the app promptly when rates change.

6.2 Cashback is earned only on verified transactions. A transaction is verified when both GPS proximity and QR code authentication checks are successfully completed within the GoOuts app at the time of payment.

6.3 Cashback will not be awarded on transactions that are subsequently identified as fraudulent, disputed, or in breach of a Partner's terms.

6.4 GoOuts reserves the right to reverse Cashback that has been incorrectly credited due to system error, Partner error, or fraudulent activity.

6.5 Cashback held in your Wallet has no expiry date, provided your account remains active. Accounts that have been inactive for twenty-four (24) consecutive months may be subject to account closure procedures, following thirty (30) days' written notice.

6.6 Cashback Redemption: No Cash Withdrawal. GoOuts Cashback, including any Wallet balance credited from Cashback earnings or a Cashback Advance, is a loyalty reward for use exclusively at participating GoOuts Partner businesses. Cashback cannot be withdrawn as cash, transferred to a bank account, converted to currency, or paid out in any form other than redemption at a GoOuts Partner. Cashback may be transferred to another registered GoOuts user through the app's transfer feature, who may then redeem it on the same terms as if they had earned it themselves; such a transfer is not a payment out and does not entitle either the sender or the recipient to cash. This restriction applies to all Cashback balances, including Escrow Cashback and any Advance amounts credited under Part 5. GoOuts does not offer a cash-out or withdrawal feature.

Part 7: Payment Verification & Fraud Prevention

7.1 All in-store payments via the GoOuts app require dual verification: GPS location confirmation that you are physically present at the Partner premises, and scanning of the Partner's unique GoOuts QR code.

7.2 Attempting to circumvent, spoof, or manipulate either verification mechanism constitutes fraud and will result in immediate account suspension and potential prosecution.

7.3 GoOuts employs automated fraud detection systems. Unusual transaction patterns, including repeated Returns, GPS spoofing, and duplicate transactions, will trigger a security review.

Part 8: Authorised Payment Method & Direct Debit Mandate

8.1 By registering a payment method with GoOuts (debit card, credit card, or linked bank account), you authorise GoOuts to charge that payment method for wallet top-ups you initiate, recovery of outstanding Advances as described in Clause 5.4, and any other amounts legitimately owed to GoOuts under these Terms.

8.2 You must ensure your Authorised Payment Method remains valid and has sufficient funds. You agree to update your payment details promptly if they change.

8.3 GoOuts will store your payment details securely using PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. We will never store your full card number.

Part 9: KYC & Identity Verification

9.1 Legal Basis. GoOuts Technologies Limited is required by law to verify the identity of all account holders under the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017 (SI 2017/692) ("MLR 2017") and the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. As a business operating a cashback rewards and digital wallet platform in the United Kingdom, GoOuts is subject to UK Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") obligations and is required to conduct Know Your Customer ("KYC") checks before users can actively use cashback and wallet features.

9.2 All account holders must complete identity verification to access GoOuts' full cashback and wallet services. You will be prompted to complete KYC verification within the GoOuts app after registration. We aim to make this process quick and straightforward, typically under five minutes.

9.3 To verify your identity, you will be asked to submit a valid, government-issued photo ID (UK passport or driving licence) and a short selfie taken within the app to confirm that the document belongs to you.

9.4 You may explore the GoOuts app and accumulate Cashback during a short grace period following registration. However, Cashback redemption and wallet spending will be restricted until KYC verification is approved, with reasonable notice before any restriction takes effect.

9.5 If identity verification is not completed within the timeframe notified to you in-app, GoOuts may restrict your ability to redeem Cashback or use wallet features, suspend your account pending completion of verification, or, in cases of suspected fraud or money laundering, close your account and report the matter to the relevant authorities. GoOuts will always provide written notice before applying account restrictions under this Clause, except where immediate action is required to prevent fraud or comply with a legal obligation.

9.6 GoOuts may request that you re-verify your identity where required by law, where we detect unusual account activity, or where a material change in your account usage warrants additional checks.

9.7 Your verification documents are processed by our trusted identity-verification provider under strict data protection standards. GoOuts does not retain copies of your ID documents beyond the period required for verification and compliance purposes. All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK GDPR.

9.8 Cashback Redemption: Relationship to KYC. GoOuts Cashback is a loyalty reward redeemable exclusively at participating GoOuts Partner businesses. It is not a financial product and cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred to a bank account (see Clause 6.6). Nonetheless, our AML obligations under MLR 2017 apply to the operation of the GoOuts Wallet and cashback platform. KYC verification is therefore required for full platform access regardless of whether funds are withdrawn.

Part 10: Account Suspension & Termination

10.1 GoOuts may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach any provision of these Terms, we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering, or misuse, you provide false or misleading information, a Return pattern suggests systematic abuse of the Advance Facility, or we are required to do so by law or regulatory authority.

10.2 Upon termination, any Wallet balance (excluding Escrow Cashback subject to ongoing investigation) will be returned to you via your Authorised Payment Method within ten (10) business days, subject to any outstanding debts owed to GoOuts being deducted first.

10.3 You may close your account at any time by contacting support@goouts.co.uk, provided there are no outstanding Advances or negative balances.

Part 11: Limitation of Liability

11.1 GoOuts shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive loss arising from your use of the app or services.

11.2 Our total aggregate liability to you for any direct loss shall not exceed the total Cashback credited to your account in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by GoOuts' negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Part 12: Changes to Terms

12.1 GoOuts reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Where changes are material, in particular changes to the Escrow, Advance Facility, or clawback provisions, we will provide no less than thirty (30) days' notice via in-app notification and registered email.

12.2 Your continued use of the GoOuts app after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12.3 If you do not accept the revised Terms, you must close your account before the revised Terms take effect.

Part 13: Short Stay Bookings and Deposit Protection

13.1 When you book a property through GoOuts Short Stay, you are booking directly with the host who owns or manages that property. GoOuts is not the host, does not own or manage any Short Stay property, and is not a party to the accommodation arrangement between you and the host. We provide the platform you use to search, book, pay for, and manage your stay, and we operate the protections described in this Part, but the host remains responsible for the property itself and for honouring the booking you have made.

13.2 The nightly rate, cleaning fee, service fee, and any other charges that make up your total are shown to you before you confirm payment. Payment is taken through the GoOuts app using your GoOuts Wallet or another payment method you choose, in the same way as described in Part 3 of these Terms. Where Cashback applies to a Short Stay booking, it is earned and released on the same basis as Part 4 and Part 6 above.

13.3 Cancellation terms can vary between bookings, so rather than fix a single refund rule here, GoOuts shows you the cancellation terms that apply to your specific booking before you pay, and shows you the actual refund you would receive before you confirm any cancellation. Once a cancellation is confirmed it cannot be reversed, and the dates are released for other guests to book. If you need to change or cancel a booking, the app will guide you through the current process, which at times may involve our support team completing the cancellation on your behalf while we continue to roll this feature out.

13.4 As a guest you agree to take reasonable care of the property, to keep to the number of guests and the purpose agreed at the time of booking, to follow any house rules the host has given you, and to leave the property in the condition you found it in, fair wear and tear excepted. You are responsible for loss or damage that you or anyone in your party cause during the stay, which is the reason for the photograph and claims process set out below.

13.5 Where you book a property through GoOuts Short Stay, you may be required to complete a check-in and, where applicable, a check-out room-by-room photograph capture through the GoOuts app. This capture is camera-only within the app at the time of your stay and is not available through the GoOuts website.

13.6 These photographs exist as evidence should a damage claim be raised against your booking by the host within the claim window stated in the app, currently 72 hours from checkout. If a claim is raised, you will be notified in the app and given the opportunity to accept or dispute it before any decision is made.

13.7 Photograph retention. Check-in and check-out photographs are kept only for as long as they may be needed. If no damage claim is raised, they are deleted 14 days after checkout. If a claim is raised, they are kept for as long as the claim remains open and deleted promptly once it is decided. See our Privacy Policy for how this fits our wider data retention practices.

13.8 No deposit amount is charged, held, or pre-authorised on any payment method as at the date these Terms were last reviewed. An upheld claim currently records an award against the claim only. GoOuts will notify you separately and in advance before any settlement mechanism that actually moves funds is introduced.

13.9 Our role in a dispute. Because the host, not GoOuts, is responsible for the property and for your stay, our role is limited to operating the booking platform, holding and releasing payments as described above, and running the claims process in this Part fairly and in good faith. Part 11 of these Terms, Limitation of Liability, applies equally to Short Stay bookings.

13.10 Before you can complete a Short Stay booking, you will be asked to confirm that you accept this Part 13 by ticking a box on the checkout screen. You cannot complete a booking without doing so.

Part 14: Social Boost

14.1 Social Boost lets you earn a bonus reward, on top of any standard Cashback, for sharing a post about your visit to a participating partner business on a supported social media platform. Whether Social Boost is offered, which platform or platforms it applies to, and what reward is offered are all set by the individual partner business, not by GoOuts. GoOuts charges the partner business a fee for offering Social Boost. You are never charged for it, and GoOuts does not take a share of your reward.

14.2 A Social Boost reward is not guaranteed. It depends on the partner offering it at the time of your visit, on your post meeting the requirements shown to you in the app, such as making the post public and including anything the partner asks you to tag or mention, and on GoOuts being able to confirm this. GoOuts may check a post automatically, manually, or through a mix of both, and this can take some time. Posting does not create an automatic right to a reward until GoOuts has confirmed it.

14.3 You keep ownership of anything you post. Sharing a post for Social Boost only gives GoOuts permission to view your public post for the purpose of confirming your reward. If GoOuts or a partner business would ever like to reuse, repost, or otherwise feature your content beyond this, we will ask you separately and will not do so without your permission.

14.4 You are responsible for your own account on any social media platform you use for Social Boost, and for keeping it in good standing with that platform's own rules. GoOuts is not the operator of any such platform, is not responsible for its availability or its content decisions, and any dispute you have with a platform, including a removed post or a suspended account, is between you and that platform.

14.5 GoOuts may decline, delay, or reverse a Social Boost reward where a post does not genuinely meet the requirements shown to you, is deleted or made private shortly after being credited, relies on fake or purchased engagement, breaches a platform's own rules, or otherwise appears to be an attempt to claim a reward without a genuine visit and a genuine post.

14.6 If you are posting in return for a reward, you are responsible for following any disclosure rules that apply to you, such as labelling the post as an ad or as gifted where advertising standards in your country require it. GoOuts is not responsible for how you label your own post.

14.7 Social Boost is separate from, and additional to, your standard Cashback under Part 6 above. Once a bonus Social Boost reward is credited to your account, it is held and can be redeemed on the same terms as any other Cashback described in these Terms, including that it cannot be withdrawn as cash.

14.8 GoOuts may add, change, or withdraw Social Boost, including which partners or platforms it applies to, at any time, since it is a partner-controlled feature rather than a fixed part of the core service.

Part 15: Governing Law & Disputes

15.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15.3 Before commencing legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute with GoOuts through our internal complaints procedure by writing to complaints@goouts.co.uk.

15.4 If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (where applicable) or seek independent legal advice.
